Privacy Policy

Effective date: 23 June 2026

Who we are

Liberway is operated by Pun Kai Chan, based in the United Kingdom. In this policy, “Liberway”, “we” and “us” refer to that service and its operator.

For privacy questions or requests, email support@liberwayapp.com.

Information we collect

  • Account information, including your email address and authentication details needed to sign you in.
  • Purchase and access information, such as payment status, the email used at checkout, and the course access granted to you. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
  • Course activity, including lesson progress, completion status, and feedback you choose to submit.
  • Waitlist or early-access information, including an email address you submit to hear about the service.
  • Technical and usage information, such as page views, interactions, device and browser information, approximate location derived from your IP address, and diagnostic data.

How we use your information

We use this information to:

  • provide accounts, course access, and progress tracking;
  • process purchases, confirm payment, and handle refunds;
  • respond to support requests and service feedback;
  • send messages you request, such as access or waitlist emails;
  • understand and improve the service; and
  • protect the service, enforce our terms, and comply with law.

Our legal bases under UK data protection law may include performing a contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, your consent where requested, and compliance with legal obligations.

Cookies and analytics

Liberway uses essential browser storage and cookies to maintain authentication and remember an anonymous course session. These are needed for account security, access control, and progress continuity.

With your consent, we use PostHog as our analytics provider to understand page views, feature usage, and software errors. PostHog may process device, browser, network, and usage information and use cookies or similar browser storage. We do not start this optional analytics storage until you accept analytics.

You can change your analytics choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the site footer. Our Cookie Policy provides more detail. Blocking essential storage may prevent parts of the service from working.

Service providers and transfers

We use specialist providers to operate the service, including:

  • Supabase for authentication, databases, and account data;
  • Stripe for checkout, payment processing, and payment records;
  • PostHog for product analytics; and
  • hosting, email, and video-delivery providers.

These providers process information under their own safeguards and may process it outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we rely on recognised transfer safeguards. We may also disclose information when legally required or to protect rights, safety, and service security. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention and security

We retain information only for as long as needed for the purposes described here, including providing access, maintaining transaction and tax records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, and to receive a portable copy. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Contact us at support@liberwayapp.com to make a request. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Children

Liberway is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The effective date above will show when the latest version took effect. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email where appropriate.
